| Hi. I am still alive. Is anyone out there besides... Cuzzie, Helen, and Brian? LOL.. those are the only people I ever see update anymore.
Let's recap...
At the beginning of the year I took an amazing trip to South America. We visited Brazil and Peru. It was definitely and eye opening experience for me. Now that I've been bit by the travel bug, I can't wait for my next big trip. Where should I go? Europe? China? Japan? Australia? Thailand? Vietnam?
I also started my new job at AAA as a sales agent. Things have been going pretty well. It's slow right now, but with how the economy is going, I shouldn't complain bc there isn't much out there to be picky about.
In a few months, I'll be living in southern California for 2 years. Time really flies as you get older. Since the move, I have never regretted making my decision. Houston will always be like home to me, but I am glad I made the move. I feel like I've really grown and matured as a person. The down side about the move is that I really miss my friends and homies. Born and raised in a Houston gave me a chance to build really strong ties with close friends. I miss out on the birthdays, the weddings, the baby showers, and even simple things like just have lunch and dinner and catching up on old times. I'm glad that because I have such strong ties with my friends that when I do get a chance to talk to them, it's as if I never left at all. Things like that really makes you appreciate who your close friends are. I love you guys!
The flip side to being the newbie here is that I get a chance to meet new ppl. I've been able build new ties with new friends here. I have a great boyfriend who loves and adores me. What more can a girl ask for?
So I had a funny dream I wanted to share. I dreamt that Melissa and I went to a fair and we wanted to get some food. There was a stand that was selling corn dog. I went up to the stand and ordered a corn dog. The vendor gave me a corn on the cob in a hot dog bun... and said..."here's your corndog." Isn't that friggin weird???
I'll be home for Christmas... so if anyone that still checks out xanga..."I hope I see you while I'm down!"
Word.

| It's been awhile since I've updated on this thing...I think I should start again. It's nice to look back on my old entires and re-read all the exciting things that have happened.
So a year has passed since my move to California....and let me tell you... that year sure went by fast! My first year from my BIG move has been amazing. I've been able to do so many things in the short amount of time I've been here. From cruises, trips to Vegas, trips to San Diego, beaches, camping, snowboarding, partying and meeting new friends-the list is endless!
I do get homesick from time to time. I miss being with my family, seeing familiar faces, and hanging out with close friends. I'm thankful that I have a great boyfriend and the best cousins here to remind me that I am not alone. Whenever I do get extremely homesick, it's nice to know that I can just hop on a plane and be back at home, as if I never left.
This move has definitely made me grow as a person and I have not
regretted one bit. If anything, I would recommend others to do it to!
See what life has to offer you!
My adventures have just begun since my move here. I am very excited for my upcoming trip! Next week I will be off on my backpacking trip in South America!!!! I've never been outside the states much less go to a third world country! It's going to be nuttts! No showers, no nice soft beds, no Mcdonalds, no English...hahah...BRING IT! I'll be backpacking for about 2 1/2 weeks...here is a sneak peek of all the fun and adventurous places I'll be traveling to..(I stole these pics from my cuzzie, Anne)

As soon as I return from my,I'm sure exhausting trip, I'll be starting my new career. I got offered a job at AAA as a sales agent. This will be my first sales job so I am very excited to see how this will all turn out.
So peace out for now...and I'll be sure to update when I come back. Take care!
